Dress Code
A reasonable standard of dress is required at all times. The following points are intended to guide Members and Visitors.
Golf Course
Only recognised golfing attire may be worn on the golf course.
Player’s shirts that are cut to be tucked in must be tucked in, and if shorts are worn, they must be tailored.
Clubhouse
Hats and Soiled and/or wet clothing must be removed before entering any lounge or bar area of the Clubhouse. Clean golf shoes, with soft spikes only, are permitted in the Foyer and MacKenzie Bar.
Smart casual dress, including shoes or suitably smart leisure shoes are permissible in the Clubhouse. If a formal dinner is taking place in the dining room, then men must wear a jacket and tie and commensurate attire for women.
Please Note
The following types of attire are NOT permitted in the Clubhouse or on the course at any time:
- Blue denim jeans, cargo trousers/shorts with external pockets.
- Sleeveless basketball-style t-shirts, football/rugby shirts (or similar).
- Trainers, ‘flip flops’ or sliders.
Mobile Phones & Electrical Devices
All golfers are advised to carry a mobile phone whilst on the golf course, however, they may only be used when consulting the R&A App for the Rules of Golf, course planners or in emergency situations and must remain in silent mode.
In the Clubhouse calls cannot be made or received anywhere other than in the locker rooms or in the car park.
The use of other electronic devices is permitted in all areas of the Clubhouse but must remain in silent mode.
Smoking & Vaping Policy
Smoking and Vaping is prohibited inside the clubhouse and on the terrace. It is permitted only at the designated benches around the 18th green and on the course (unless a temporary ban is in place due to dry conditions).
- Please be mindful of smoke entering the clubhouse due to doors being open during inclement weather.
- Smokers must dispose of vapes, cigarettes and cigar ends responsibly.
