Moortown is renowned for its closing hole and atmosphere created by ‘the benches’ that form the backdrop of the 18th hole. In 2022 this was further enhanced with the installation of the new glass fronted terrace.
The centrepiece is the MacKenzie Bar, which epitomises the history and character of the club. The walls are adorned with golfing memorabilia, trophies and photography.
It’s the perfect room to have a relaxing coffee before your round, or to retreat to after 18 holes to recount stories of your round.
If the weather gets the better of your golfing plans to play the course, the snooker room offers another source of entertainment. Rest assured, however, that Moortown is rarely closed and is renowned for being a course that has excellent natural drainage.
