Three Day Event at North Leeds’ Finest 29th June – 1st July 2021

For many year’s North Leeds has been the focus for several major professional and amateur golfing events. 2021 is no different as The Alwoodley Golf Club plays host to the European Ladies Amateur Championship in July 2021 and later in the same month Moortown and Headingley Golf Clubs host the English Men’s and Ladies’ Amateur Championship.

The North Leeds Classic provides a unique opportunity for a limited field to play all three course across three days during the same month as these fine championships.

Day 1 at Moortown, Day 2 at Headingley and the Final Round at Alwoodley

Competition Format

  • AMAM Team Event – Two from Four Stableford.
  • Limited to 18 teams.
  • WHS 85% handicap allowance.
  • Maximum handicap index Gents 24, Ladies 32.
  • The best aggregate points scored over the three rounds will win the North Leeds Classic.
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams on the overall series result.
  • The organisers reserve the right to reject any entry to the competition of any entrant and where this is the case will not enter any correspondence regarding the rejection.
  • Day 2 tee times will mirror Day 1. Day 3 will be in reverse score order so leaders out last.

Price – £995/team – Each competitor will receive free gift and use of the event mobile phone app for the live leaderboard, tee times and all full event details




Tied Results for the Series will be determined by card play-off as follows:
– Best Final Round score
– Best last nine holes of the Final Round
– Best last six holes of the Final Round
– Best last three holes of the Final Round
– Best last hole of the Final Round
– Sudden-death from hole one of the Final Round
If still tied the above procedure will apply to Round 2 and then finally Round 1.

Bad Weather Procedures

If in the unfortunate occurrence, play is interrupted by bad weather rendering the golf course unplayable, a minimum of nine holes must be completed by every competitor in the field in order to contribute to the three round aggregate total. If nine holes cannot be completed, then the days play will be abandoned and the tournament played over two rounds.
